The original round window is fixed and has one polarizing film on indoor side.
The round glass is attached with vinyl bearings, allowing it to roll. Original screws were replaced with loger ones and fitted with aluminum tubes to hold the bearings. Vinyl bearings have 6mm groove and glass is 6mm thick. Another polarizing film is attached on the side that's opposite the first polarizing film. So no glass is between the two films because it would mess with polarization and ruin the effect.
